Hello and welcome to Penny Poppins Nursery
We are a small independent, Ofsted registered nursery situated in Rose House on Barnes High street. Providing a safe, calm and secure environment for children aged 2 – 4 years old. Offering 3, 4 and 6 hour sessions to suit the needs of your family. We run for 38 weeks of the year alongside the term dates of the local primary schools. Clubs and classes will run throughout some of the school holidays.
Hello! WE’RE Kerry & nikki
We have worked in and around Barnes for over 20 years, you may have met us at one of our playtime classes. We have a wealth of experience working with children aged from newborn to 12 years old and are very passionate about helping children learn and develop. Both having childcare qualifications, enhanced DBS checks and paediatric first aid training.
Here at Rose House, we endeavour to create a home from home nursery environment to deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage to help your little ones grow, learn, develop and thrive. We treat each child as an individual and recognise that each child is unique and has their own strengths, interests and temperament. We allow children in our care to develop at their own pace providing them with the freedom to explore the nursery and adapt it to their needs and interests, to help them reach their full learning potential.
We will encourage good manners, kindness and independence, always ensuring that we are fully inclusive. We will celebrate each child’s achievements and help build confidence.
We strongly believe that children learn best through play, so play is what we do!
We know that successful learning and development starts with love and care. We provide a fun learning experience across the nursery with access to lots of different learning experiences such as sand and water play, creative station, home corner, imaginative area, maths area, book corner and small world toys. We are very lucky to have a secure outside space where we can enjoy lots of free flow play. Offering a range of inviting activities to keep your children engaged and happy.
We offer Music, dancing, ball skills, cooking and regular fun outings within the local community.
My son loves Penny Poppins. The wonderful sessions at Rose House feel very homely.
The space and number of children are perfectly sized. Every child becomes their friend, and they get to play freely in and outside, with the best selection of toys I've ever seen! They get creative, bringing fridge worthy works home, and have fun dancing at music time. Kerry & Nikki are incredible; they are so kind, gentle, thoughtful, generous, and highly experienced. My son always comes out beaming!
