We understand that families may need a little help. You may be eligible to access funding and childcare support for your child attending Penny Poppins.

Penny Poppins Nursery is on the Register of Providers for the provision of free nursery education for children from two to five years. Information regarding the Early Education Funding EEF can be found on the Achieving For Children website.

Universal entitlement is available for all children aged 3 - 4 years old. This includes up to 15 hours per week. It is effective from the term following the child’s 3rd birthday and is available to all children regardless of their family circumstances. Parents will receive funding inline with the number of hours they attend the setting, up to a maximum of 15 hours per week.Eligible children can access funded early education in line with the current funding entitlements set by Richmond Council and the Department for Education. The number of funded hours available will depend on your child's age and your family's eligibility.

Government funding covers the funded early education hours only. Penny Poppins Nursery charges for additional services and consumables that are not covered by the government funding. These voluntary charges help us provide the high-quality experiences, resources and enrichment activities that children enjoy at Penny Poppins Nursery. Where funded hours are claimed, parents will only be charged for agreed additional services or hours outside of their funded entitlement, in accordance with Richmond Council's funding guidance.
